Amadu Massally
In his role as CEO of Gamut Consulting, LLC, Amadu Massally is responsible for helping Fortune 500 companies identify and implement the applications and technology infrastructure necessary for their sales, finance, operations and security functions. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Massally is also the chairperson of the Sierra Leone-Gullah Heritage Association, an organization he founded to reconnect African Americans of Sierra Leonean ancestry with their kinfolk in Sierra Leone. He serves as the President of the Sierra Leone Network, an organization that has a mission to integrate, complement, foster collaboration, and facilitate coordination among Sierra Leonean charity, and welfare organizations and businesses with the clear aim of promoting economic empowerment and development in Sierra Leone. He also sits on the board of Directors for the Young Leaders of Sierra Leone and Schools for Salone.
He is an active participant in grass-roots activities that affect native Sierra Leoneans and those in the Diaspora. He has co-sponsored the development of the Bunce Island exhibit, showcasing the historical connection Sierra Leone has with people in the US of African descent. The exhibit has recently been on display in academic institutions across the US.
Massally attended Morehouse College and the University of Massachusetts in Boston where he earned a degree in Management and Accounting.
In addition to his professional duties, Massally is currently planning a first of its kind Summit for DNA Sierra Leoneans in 2009 where African Americans who have been confirmed as having Sierra Leonean DNA will have an opportunity to network with other Sierra Leoneans and discuss opportunities to contribute to the country’s future.
